Seattle is the home to an estimated 240 fashion designers, and as of a few months ago, local retail heavy-hitters are starting to take notice. Two dresses from NBC Fashion Star contestant and participant in the Bellevue Collection‘s Independent Designer Runway Show, Lizzie Parker, will be featured in Nordstrom this month. Her design was showcased first on the runway during the opening night Independent Designer Runway Show at the Bellevue Collection presented by Vogue, catching the attention of Vogue’s own Anne Vincent, Director of Events and Merchandising, who then wore the dress on-stage at the event. Now called the “Anne” dress in honor of the Vogue executive, it will be sold, along with a shorter version, at Nordstrom in Bellevue Square.

Lizzie will be showcasing several dresses during a special trunk show on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1-3pm on the 2nd floor in the Special Occasion department of Nordstrom in Bellevue.

Additionally picked-up by Nordstrom nation-wide this month is Seattle native, women’s empowerment advocate, and burgeoning jewelry designer, Whitney Stern, launched her Tiny Treasure symbolic collection in Nordstrom nation-wide earlier this month, and is hosting a trunk show at Downtown Nordstrom December 14th from 11am-6pm. Made from ethically sourced metals and the finest quality materials, Stern’s Tiny Treasure collection is whimsical, celebratory, and sweet.

Both events are free and open to the public.
